Our 'Regular Menu' is in a permanent state of evolution. What was popular last year may not be as popular this year and we're always looking to try new ideas.
We're also very much aware that many of our customers dine with us on a regular basis and no matter how good a dish is, you don't want it over and over again. And, of course, our team of chefs enjoy a change of scenery now and again.
Conversely, some of the dishes on our menu are good old-fashioned 'pub food' favourites and are still very much among the most requested dishes. If you still want it, then we're happy to carry on cooking it !
Our chalkboard 'Specials Menu' changes on a daily basis. If you would like to know what is available on the day of your visit please feel free to give us a call after 11am and we will be happy to help you. Do bear in mind though that these menu items are freshly prepared daily and are featured on the 'Specials Menu' on the basis that 'when they're gone they're gone' !
During the Summer months our 'Barbecue Menu' is highly popular. Chef Wayne Cortilla was crowned 'King of the Coals' by 'Pub Chef Magazine' last year when he beat chefs from all over the UK at the finals of the 'Battle of the Barbecues' cook-off.
We regularly promote 'Themed Menu Events', particularly during the quieter winter months. These might be for one evening only, or might extend to a promotional menu for a week or more. Keep an eye on the 'News' section on this site, or when visiting us pick up a copy of our 'Newsletter' which is updated regularly.
We would always advise making a table reservation wherever possible. However we remain very much a pub, not a restaurant and there are usually tables in the bar area which we do not reserve. At weekends and other busy times we operate a waiting list and will always do our utmost to seat you as soon as we can.
Our kitchen operates from 12 noon to 9.30pm (last orders) - seven days a week.
